


Tobago Turtle Survey Diver
Join us in Tobago’s crystal-clear waters and become part of our sea turtle conservation mission. The Environmental Research Institute Charlotteville now offers a PADI Tobago Turtle Survey Diver Specialty Course. A unique opportunity to combine diving skills with real-world marine conservation.
Developed by ERIC’s marine biologists and certified PADI instructors, this course introduces you to the fascinating world of sea turtles and the science behind their protection. You’ll learn how to identify local species, understand their life cycles, and practice responsible interaction techniques.


More than just theory!
This course takes you into the field. During your training dives, you’ll conduct turtle population surveys using a standardised methodology and well established survey patterns. Your data directly supports ongoing monitoring and conservation projects across the North-east Tobago UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Reserve.

Course Requirements:

Minimum certification: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

Minimum age: 16 years 
- 
Duration: 2 days (classroom session + 4 open water dives) 
- 
Maximum depth: 18 metres (60 feet)
